Michael E. Berger joined Berger Realty Group, Inc. in August of 1993. Previously, he had been at the law firm of Rudnick & Wolfe in Chicago where he was part of the seventy-person Real Estate Department. His legal practice included all aspects of transactional real estate law including acquisitions, financing and sales of all types of income producing properties.
Since joining Berger Realty Group, Inc., Michael Berger has headed efforts in new acquisitions, refinancing, leasing, legal matters, property management and marketing for Berger Realty Group and First Choice Building and Maintenance LLC, the company's construction division. He has been a speaker at conferences, including the International Council of Shopping Centers Law Conference and The World Presidents Organization.
Mr. Berger is an attorney licensed in both Michigan and Illinois and is also a licensed real estate broker in Michigan. He obtained his law degree from Boston University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan. He attended the Cranbrook School for college preparatory education and served as President of the Cranbrook Alumni Association and on the Board of Governors of Cranbrook Schools from 1998 through 2000. He is currently serving a second term on the Board of Governors of Cranbrook Schools which began in 2007 and serves as Chair of the Finance Committee and Treasurer. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees for Henry Ford Hospital and Health Network since 2004 as well as Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital since 2009. He is a member of Entrepreneurs Organization and serves on the Board of Governors of the United Jewish Foundation of Metropolitan Detroit in the capacity of Treasurer.
Louis Beaudet joined Berger Realty Group, Inc. and became a principal in 1992. Prior to his experience with Berger Realty Group, Mr. Beaudet was a Mortgage Banker servicing commercial accounts and later became a principal in a construction firm contracting to Municipal and Government agencies.
Together with Steven Berger, Mr. Beaudet is responsible for supervising the day-to-day field operations of the construction affiliate known as First Choice Building and Maintenance LLC.
Current projects include a 20,000 square foot addition to a shopping center to accommodate an O'Reilly Auto Parts, a factory renovation for a custom auto parts supplier, a rebuild of a 3,500 square foot lakefront home in Oakland County as well as many other ongoing tenant build outs in office and multiuse buildings.
Mr. Beaudet was responsible for the development of two prestigious residential communities located in Bloomfield Hills and Birmingham Michigan. Berger Realty Group Inc.'s showcase house in Bloomfield Hills was awarded Best Home over $1,000,000 by the National Association of Home Builders for the Midwest region. Other projects include a 173 unit condominium project in Ypsilanti Township, a 72 unit subdivision in Plymouth, a 118 lot project in Okemos, Michigan and the development construction of the first phase (171 lots) in a 700 unit project in Dundee, Michigan.
Mr. Beaudet attended Michigan State University and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and completed postgraduate studies at Wayne State University. He is a licensed Residential Builder in the State of Michigan, and is a member of the legislative affairs committee of the Building Industry Association of Southeastern Michigan. Other industry associations include; Birmingham and Bloomfield Hills Builders Task Force; Rouge River Area Watershed Steering Committee; National Home Builders Association and board trustee for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Steven Berger has been with the Berger Realty Group and its affiliates since 1991. As Chairman of First Choice Building and Maintenance LLC his responsibilities include oversight of the construction division. He supervises all commercial and residential construction.
Since joining Berger Realty Group, Inc. Mr. Berger has supervised construction of both infrastructure and vertical construction of many residential developments including The Polo Fields, an eighteen hole Championship Golf Course and residential community located in Ann Arbor consisting of approximately 350 homes.
Mr. Berger is a graduate with high honors of Michigan State University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction Management. He is a licensed residential builder in the state of Michigan as well as a licensed Real Estate Salesperson. He served on the Board of Directors of the Building Industry Association of Southeast Michigan, the Michigan Association of Home Builders and is a life member of the National Association of Home Builders. Mr. Berger was elected to serve as the President of the Home Building Association of Washtenaw County for the 2002 year. In 2002, Mr. Berger was named Young Builder of the Year by the Building Industry Association of Southeast Michigan. Mr. Berger was also named Builder of the Year for the Washtenaw County Home Builders Association for 2003. In addition to the work Mr. Berger does with the Builders Association he has served on the Board of the Washtenaw County Jewish Federation and was the Co-Chair for the Young Adult Divisionís Annual Campaign for 2007 - 2008.
Stanley Berger is a former Coopers & Lybrand tax partner. He left that firm in 1973 to become the president of General Growth Companies, Inc., the management company that supervised the operations of General Growth Properties, a New York Stock Exchange listed company. After the sale of General Growth to Equitable Life Assurance Company in the early 1980's, he formed his own management company and development company to operate and acquire a portfolio of 6,500 apartment units in the Detroit Metropolitan area.
Mr. Berger is an Attorney and a Certified Public Accountant. He served many years on the Board of Henry Ford Health Systems in various capacities, and is a governor emeritus of Cranbrook Schools (a private college preparatory school in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan). He is a licensed real estate broker in Michigan.
Mr. Berger currently owns controlling interests in a variety of real estate projects, including apartment developments, office buildings, shopping centers, and industrial properties.
Michael Tremonti joined Berger Realty Group, Inc. in April of 1999. Since joining Berger Realty Group, Inc., Michael Tremonti has been the point person for new acquisitions, refinancing, leasing, legal matters, property management and marketing for both Berger Realty Group, Inc. and its affiliates.
Michael Tremonti reports directly to Berger Realty Group, Inc. principals and is responsible for maintaining progress-reporting systems as well as all communication and interaction with the various ownership groups.
Michael Tremonti has been the Director of Property Management for Berger Realty Group, Inc. for the past 10 years. He oversees the physical and financial management of all residential and commercial assets in the Berger Realty Group portfolio. He utilizes a well trained and experienced management, accounting, and administrative and sales support team along with a talented maintenance crew to assure the assets are in exceptional condition. His strength is in physical property management and financial management while keeping the sites operating efficiently and at superior occupancy in their market.
Michael Tremonti is also an active member of BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association), the DMAA (Detroit Metropolitan Apartment Association) and is a licensed real estate salesperson.
Diane Isaacs joined Berger Realty Group, Inc. in October of 1998. She is a Certified Public Accountant, as well as a Chartered Global Management Accountant and began her career at the firm of Price Waterhouse. Prior to joining Berger Realty Group, Inc., Diane Isaacs spent five years as the Accounting Manager at Tama, Budaj & Raab, PC, working with Berger Realty Group, Inc. and all of its related entities.
As Vice President of Finance, Mrs. Isaacs handles all aspects of financial reporting and management information services for Berger Realty Group, Inc. This includes banking relations, treasury management, financial statement preparation, construction accounting, investor relations, lease administration, supervision of outside auditors and tax return preparation for related entities.
Mrs. Isaacs is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, The Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the Commercial Real Estate Women of Detroit. She was an active member of the Timberline Users Group, sitting as the Construction Resource Team Chair for five years and Teaching at the TUG National Conferences. She is now a member of the AMSI Michigan User Group. She is also active in the community: treasurer of the Barrington Green Homeowners Association; the North Farmington High School Band and Orchestra Boosters; and does volunteer work with Gleaners, the Michigan Humane Society, and other non-profit organizations.
